Characteristics of our waterjet cutting machine
Garnet is a natural product with chemically inert, non-toxic metals and crystalline silica.
With its good hardness,garnet has been used as a gemstone and blasting abrasives.
The density of pure waterjet energy is often insufficient for machining many technical materials. In respect of appropriate applications the waterjet is supplemented solid particles.
Therefore the waterjet machining can be used also for materials which can not be machined just by pure waterjet application.
An application of additional abrasive agent causes also a significant increase of the cutting capacity in comparison to pure waterjet technology.
For the so called abrasive, mineral materials with sharp edges are used, like garnet sand or olivine with grain sizes approx 0.1 to 0.3mm.
For abrasive cutting, depending on application, the required quantity of the abrasive materials varies from 100 to 800g per minute.
For both technologies the applied pressure reached up to 6000bar.
The jet diameter ranges between 0.3 to 1.2 mm.
Cutting together with abrasive agent also enables cutting of materials with thickness up to 300mm.

Select the rock with 85.4% garnet. Artificially dry it to reduce the moisture to 4.7%. After smashing by machine, acid wash (remove impurity) and water wash (remove sand and dirt) and second artificial dry ( to get rid of dirt) to reduce the moisture lower than 5%. Finally sifting screen technics makes them more even. And pack.
Recommendation: 60Mesh abrasive is used to cut stainless steel, copper, marble.80Mesh abrasive is used to cut ceramic and glass wares.
