Compared with traditional filter media like silica sand and anthracite, it has obvious advantages in filtration efficiency, environmental friendliness, operational cost and service life, making it an ideal choice for sustainable water purification.
  • It has superior contaminant removal efficiency. With an irregular porous structure and large specific surface area, it effectively captures suspended solids, oil, organic matter and other pollutants. It has a strong affinity for oil, with an oil removal rate of 84% to 99%-far higher than silica sand's 40% to 50%. It can also remove 85% to 99% of suspended solids, even particles as small as 5 microns. Unlike sand filters where oil easily forms films and causes clogging, oil captured by walnut shell media remains as droplets, which coalesce to further improve efficiency.
  • It boasts excellent operational efficiency with minimal pressure drop and high flow rate. Its unique granular structure allows smooth water passage while ensuring efficient filtration, without reducing flow rate or causing excessive pressure drop.
