Rotary Drum Dryer Machine High Efficiency Energy Saving Sand Drying Equipment 50TPH Sand Dryer for River Sand Manufactured Sand
3 Questions Sand Buyers Ask Most Before Buying a Dryer
Q1. What final moisture can I get for my sand? A: Below 1% in a single pass - dry enough for dry-mix mortar and ready-mix concrete standards. The inlet temperature is tuned per sand type to protect grain quality.
Q2. Can it handle sticky or high-clay sand? A: Yes. The specially designed lifting plates break up agglomerates, and adjustable speed plus temperature handle different particle sizes and clay content.
Q3. Which model do I need for my output? A: From 0.5 to 53.6 t/h across five capacity ranges. Send us your daily wet tonnage and target moisture - we'll recommend the exact model within 24 hours.
Where Dried Sand Goes
The dried sand from our dryer feeds the most in-demand production lines
1.Dry-Mix Mortar: Dried river sand is the core aggregate for plaster, masonry and tile adhesive mortars.
2.Ready-Mix Concrete: Low-moisture sand stabilizes the water-cement ratio and improves concrete strength.
3.Foundry & Casting: Foundry sand must be consistently dry for mold quality and core strength.
4.Glass & Quartz Sand: Silica sand drying for glassmaking, ceramics and high-purity applications.
5.Sea Sand Treatment: Combined washing + drying lines for desalinated sea sand used in coastal construction.
Complete Sand Drying Line
One supplier for your whole sand drying system: hot air furnace or burner, rotary dryer, cyclone + bag filter, conveyors and control panel - with single-source responsibility from material testing to commissioning.
River sand: 15-18% moisture, inlet temperature 600-700°C, high throughput for mortar and concrete plants.
Manufactured sand: contains stone powder - airflow and lifting plate design are adjusted to prevent dust carry-over.
Sea sand: combined washing + drying configuration for desalination projects.
Quartz sand: gentle temperature control protects grain integrity for glass and foundry grades.

* Recommended for river sand drying: Φ1800×14000 (7.6-9.5 t/h) - the same model as our river sand project below. Smaller or larger sand plants: the table covers 0.5 to 53.6 t/h.
How River Sand Is Dried - Working Principle
The sand is evenly fed into the rotating cylinder. Internal lifting plates continuously lift and scatter the sand, forming a uniform curtain through which 700-800°C hot air flows, evaporating moisture on full contact. The dried sand discharges at the opposite end while moist exhaust gas passes through the dust removal system.
Sand-specific notes: inlet temperature is typically set at 600-700°C for sand to protect grain quality and prevent discoloration; retention time and rotation speed are tuned to sand particle size for uniform final moisture.
