Application of Drilling Stabilizers When the drill string rotates at high speed in the hole, the slender drill pipe maintains a stable operation, allowing the drill bit axis to be as close as possible to the centerline of the borehole. It is also known as a stabilizer and is used in oil, gas and geological exploration drilling projects. It is an important tool for changing the inclination angle of the well. The main function of the stabilizer is to reduce the severe radial and axial vibrations of the elastic system of the drill string in the hole; reduce eccentric wear of the drill bit and drill pipe; ensure core quality; and prevent well inclination or manual directional drilling. The structure of the stabilizer is relatively simple and it is a large-diameter joint with ribs (straight or helical). The forms of stabilizers can be divided into drill string type and bottom hole type. Also known as a stabilizer, it is a tool used to stabilize downhole drilling tools and act as a slope protection. It is a device that is connected to the part of the drill string near the large-diameter drill bit to stabilize the direction of the drill bit.
