Double wall diesel gas fuel storage tank consist of a primary steel tank tightly wrapped by a secondary exterior steel wall that may be in direct contact with the primary tank. The double wall tank employs the same construction methods as the single wall tanks. The space between the tanks, known as the interstice, can be monitored. In addition to the inner tank’s emergency vent fitting, double wall tanks are supplied with a secondary emergency vent box with fitting.
