What is a Three-drum Dryer?
Three-drum dryer is a device that shortens the overall dimensions of a single-drum dryer and improves drying efficiency by replacing the single-drum body of a single-drum dryer with three stacked drums.
The three-drum dryer uses advanced heat recovery technology and efficient heat conduction and hot air circulation design, which can effectively recover and utilize heat energy, reduce energy consumption, and improve drying efficiency.
Application and Features of Three-drum Dryers
The three-drum dryer can be used to dry a variety of materials such as slag, clay, coal, yellow sand, cement slag, quartz sand, coal gangue, mixture, fly ash, gypsum, iron powder, etc.
The three-drum dryer has a large drying space and can handle a large amount of materials at the same time to meet the needs of continuous production. Its production capacity can be increased by 48~80% compared with the original single-drum dryer.
Application scope of three-drum dryer
Three-drum dryers can be widely used to dry granular materials within a certain humidity and particle size range, such as slag, mortar, sand, clay, ore, quartz sand, etc. The moisture content of the materials after drying can reach below 1-0.5%, meeting the needs of various industrial production.
Process flow of three-drum dryer
Raw material feeding: The raw material to be dried is put into the dryer through the feed port. This is usually done by feeding the raw material evenly into the drying drum through equipment such as conveyor belts. In this step, attention should be paid to the humidity and particle size of the raw material to ensure that the quality of the feed meets the requirements.
Hot air input: The dryer generates hot air through a burner or electric heater, and introduces the hot air into the drying drum through the air duct system. Hot air is the key heat source in the drying process, and its temperature and flow rate need to be adjusted according to the characteristics of the raw material and the drying requirements.
Drying process: The hot air generates strong convection in the drying drum, transferring heat evenly to the surface of the raw material to evaporate it. The raw material is affected by the hot air at high temperature, and the moisture gradually evaporates and the raw material gradually dries. The dryer may provide a variety of drying modes, such as conventional drying, fast drying, anti-wrinkle drying, etc., to meet different raw materials and drying needs.
Moisture discharge: The evaporated moisture is discharged through the exhaust system of the dryer in the form of moisture. This is an important link to maintain appropriate humidity in the drying drum and improve drying efficiency.
Drying completion and discharge: When the raw material reaches the predetermined dryness, the dryer automatically stops heating and smoothly sends the dried raw material out of the drying drum through the discharger. In order to prevent the raw material from overheating, the dryer often automatically cools down to reduce the temperature of the raw material.
