Working Process of Briquette Ball Press Machine
1. Feeding: Powdery raw materials are stored in the hopper and evenly fed into the extrusion area of the two rollers via a frequency-controlled spiral feeder.
2. High-Pressure Pressing: The motor and reducer drive the two rollers in synchronized opposite rotation, while the hydraulic system provides stable, adjustable pressure to compress the material.
3. Briquette Formation: Material is compressed into the pre-designed ball sockets on the roller surfaces, forming dense briquettes under high pressure.
4. Automatic Discharge: As rollers continue rotating, formed briquettes fall off automatically due to gravity and internal material elasticity.
5. Collection: Finished briquettes are collected in a downstream conveyor for packaging and storage.
6. Protection: If hard impurities enter, the hydraulic protection device adjusts the roller gap to let them pass, preventing equipment damage. Unqualified briquettes are recycled for re-processing.
The Customer Site
CASE STUDY: Coal Briquette Production for Ferroalloy Plant — Odisha
Customer Profile: A large-scale ferroalloy smelting facility producing ferromanganese and silicomanganese for the steel industry.
Requirement: High-volume processing of manganese ore fines and coke breeze (mixed, particle size <3mm) into dense briquettes for direct feeding into submerged arc furnaces.
Solution: CR750 Briquette Ball Press Machine with hydraulic pressure system and customized oval-shaped ball sockets.
Operational Result
Efficiency: The CR750 successfully processed 18 tons per hour of mixed fines, producing briquettes with a drop strength of over 85% (tested from 2m height), meeting the furnace charging standard.
Cost Savings: By converting waste fines into charge-ready briquettes, the plant reduced raw material loss by 90% and cut furnace dust emissions by 70%.
Service: provided a 30-day on-site installation and commissioning service, including operator training on hydraulic system adjustment and roller maintenance. Customer Feedback: "The CR750 briquette press transformed our waste management. We now convert 100% of our ore fines into furnace-grade briquettes.
