    The key difference is charge type. Cationic PAM carries a positive charge and is designed for negatively charged particles, which is why it is the standard choice for organic sludge dewatering in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, as well as paper making retention. Anionic PAM carries a negative charge and works best for inorganic suspensions with positive or neutral particles, such as mineral processing tailings, river water clarification and some industrial wastewater.     Ionicity must match the negative charge density of your sludge. For typical municipal activated sludge, medium ionicity (30% to 50%) usually works well with belt or filter press dewatering. For industrial sludge with high organic content, medium-high ionicity (40% to 60%) is often needed. For low-charge sludge or paper making retention, low ionicity (10% to 30%) is preferred. Molecular weight for cationic grades typically ranges from 8 to 12 million. We recommend a jar test on your actual sludge

    CPAM must be dissolved before use, and never add powder directly to sludge. Prepare a 0.1% to 0.3% solution in clean water at 20 to 40 degrees Celsius. Sprinkle powder slowly into the vortex while stirring, and avoid dumping large amounts at once to prevent fish-eye lumps. Use gentle agitation, because high shear degrades the polymer chain and reduces flocculation power. Full dissolution takes 40 to 60 minutes. Use stainless steel or plastic tanks only, and never mix cationic and anionic grades

    We stand behind our product with full batch traceability. Every shipment carries a COA, and we keep retained samples of each batch for 24 months for re-testing. If performance is below spec, we first troubleshoot with you, checking dissolution practice, dosage, sludge pH and dewatering equipment, since most failure cases trace back to improper dissolution, wrong ionicity or unstable sludge feed. If the product is confirmed off-spec, we replace the batch or issue a credit, no questions asked.

    Production lead time is 15 to 25 days after deposit confirmation, and delivery can often be arranged earlier. We ship worldwide by sea (a 20ft container holds approximately 20MT), by air freight for urgent small orders, and by courier (DHL, FedEx or UPS) for 1 to 5kg sample orders.
