Product Description

A magnetic separator is a mineral processing equipment that uses magnetic and mechanical forces to separate magnetic substances in a mixture.

Types of magnetic separators

It comes in two types: dry and wet magnetic separators. The wet magnetic separator is effective for selecting strong magnetic minerals and has been increasingly used as a concentration equipment, replacing the magnetic dewatering tank before filtration.

Applicable scope

  • Magnetic separation of metal ores below 3 mm, such as hematite, limonite, manganese ore, etc.
  • Iron removal operations for non-metallic ores and other materials, such as quartz, feldspar, rutile, garnet, coal, ceramics, glass, wastewater, sludge, and foundry sand.

    The magnetic separator is mainly composed of the rotating drum, magnet system, tank, and transmission part.

    Structural design features

  • Simple structure, large capacity (1-280 tons/hour), easy operation and maintenance.
  • The magnetic system uses permanent magnets made of ferrite or a composite of ferrite material and rare earth magnetic steel, creating a strong and enduring magnetic field with short magnetic circuit and minimal magnetic flux leakage.
  • The magnetic intensity is adjustable, adjustable magnetic intensity, ranging from 1000-5000 Gauss on average and extendable to 8000 mT—currently the world's highest magnetic field intensity.
  • The drum, tank body and frame are all welded from high-quality stainless steel plates to prevent magnet peeling.
  • Using dynamic magnetic system, preventing material adhesion to the roller and facilitating effective material sorting.

    • Working principle of the magnetic separator

    The water pump uses the power of water flow to enter the mining area via the mine box. Magnetic forces then form connections, causing non-magnetic or weakly magnetic minerals to be discharged from the tank.
