Mud gas separator is the first stage safety equipment in the modern drilling operations, designed to provide effective separation of the mud and gas circulated from the well by venting the gas and returning the mud to the is mainly used to remove the big bubbles with the diameter of ≥Φ3mm, most of which are the expanded gas filled in the drilling fluids.
