  • gi sheet galvanized coil Galvanized Steel Coil from cold/hot-rolled sheets, zinc-coated via HDG or EG, offers strong corrosion resistance, cost-effectiveness, and processing ease.
  • I. Core Processes and Features 1. Hot dip Galvanizing (HDG, main) Process: Steel strip dipped in 460°C zinc forming zinc-iron alloy + pure zinc. Zinc Layer: Z80 Z350 g/m² (double), thick and robust. Surface: Zinc granules (ordinary/small/none). Advantages: Strong corrosion resistance (10 20 years), cathodic protection. Applications: Construction, photovoltaics, guardrails, containers. 2. Electro-galvanizing (EG) Process: Electrolytic zinc deposition. Zinc Layer: Z10 Z50 g/m², thin and uniform. Surface: Smooth, no zinc granules, high precision. Advantages: Good appearance, ideal for deep drawing/precision processing. Applications: Appliance shells, car panels, electronic enclosures.
  • II. Common Specs (Reference) Thickness: 0.12 6.0 mm Width: 600 1500 mm (common 1000/1250 mm) Coil inner diameter: 508 mm (20 inches) Material: DX51D/SGCC (general), DX54D/SGCD (deep drawing) Zinc code: Z120 (120g/m²), Z275 (275g/m²)
  • Advantages Summary Corrosion resistance: Zinc layer as sacrificial anode extends lifespan vs. ordinary steel. Processability: Easy to cut, bend, stamp, weld. Low cost: More economical vs. stainless/aluminum sheets. Aesthetic surface: Use directly or post-treat (color coating).
