Product details

A trommel scrubber is a piece of mining equipment that combines scrubbing and screening functions in a cylindrical drum. It's used to wash and separate materials, especially in applications like gold mining where the ore may be mixed with clay and other unwanted materials. The scrubber uses a rotating drum to agitate the ore with water, breaking down clay and other impurities while simultaneously screening the materials to separate valuable minerals from waste.

Scrubbing Function: The trommel scrubber's rotating drum, often lined with rubber or other durable materials, churns the ore slurry (material mixed with water). This agitation helps to detach valuable minerals from the surrounding matrix, like clay and other rock fragments.

Screening Function: The drum also has a mesh or screen lining, which allows finer particles (including the separated minerals) to pass through while retaining coarser materials. This separation allows for the efficient recovery of valuable minerals from the ore.
