    After aluminum profiles are extruded, they are soft and lack mechanical strength. The aging furnace performs a controlled heat treatment process called age hardening. The profiles are heated to a specific temperature and held for a set duration, allowing alloying elements to precipitate and significantly increase hardness and tensile strength. Without this step, aluminum profiles cannot meet T5 or T6 mechanical property standards required for construction and industrial applications.

    T5 aging involves cooling the extruded profile from the press exit temperature and then artificially aging it in the furnace. T6 requires an additional solution heat treatment step followed by quenching before aging, producing higher strength. Our PLC system supports both T5 and T6 programmable cycles. For most building profiles such as window frames and curtain walls, T5 is sufficient. For structural or automotive parts requiring maximum strength, T6 is recommended.

    The 6-frame trolley design holds 6 individual loading frames per batch. Each frame can carry multiple profile bundles depending on profile size and shape. For typical building profiles, one batch processes approximately 2 to 4 metric tons of aluminum. The trolley system allows easy loading and unloading outside the furnace while the previous batch is still running, maximizing throughput for medium-scale factories.

    The PLC system maintains temperature accuracy within plus minus 3 degrees C across the entire furnace chamber. Multiple heating zones with independent sensors ensure uniform heat distribution, preventing cold spots that could cause inconsistent hardness. The forced air circulation system keeps temperature variation between different frames within a tight range, delivering consistent T5 or T6 properties across the entire batch.

    Rated power is 30KW with 380V 50Hz three-phase input, standard for Southeast Asian factories. Actual electricity consumption depends on aging cycle parameters. A typical T5 cycle consumes approximately 120 to 180 kWh per batch. The thick insulation lining and efficient heating element design minimize heat loss, keeping operating costs competitive compared to larger or older furnace models.

    A typical T5 aging cycle takes 6 to 8 hours including heat-up, soaking, and cooling phases. With 6 frames per batch and the ability to load the next batch during cooling, a well-organized factory can complete 2 to 3 batches per day. This translates to approximately 6 to 12 metric tons of aged profiles per day, depending on profile dimensions and packing density.
