Introduction
The Three-cylinder Dryer for Ore is purpose-built for mining and beneficiation: ore concentrate, tailings and mineral raw materials. It turns wet concentrate into dry, stable product ready for smelting, briquetting or transport.
The thickened shell and wear-resistant lining stand up to high-hardness ore, while the dedusting system recovers fine dust as product — all with triple-pass heat exchange cutting fuel by 30-40% versus a single-drum dryer. With 8-75 t/h models from 2.0×4m to 3.6×8m, mining operations of every scale get reliable ore drying.
Hot Questions Ore Buyers Ask Most
1. Ore is hard and abrasive — can the dryer handle the wear?
Yes. The thickened shell, wear-resistant lifting plates and replaceable inner lining are built for high-hardness ore, and proven in 24/7 mining duty with low maintenance.
2. What ore sizes and moisture levels can it process?
Granular ore and concentrate up to 30 mm with 10-20% moisture are standard; the uniform material curtain exposes every particle to the hot air stream for even drying.
3. Is dust control available for concentrate drying?
Yes. A cyclone plus bag filter captures fine dust and returns it to the product — keeping emission clean and recovering fines that would otherwise be lost.
Ore Application Scenarios & Complete Line
Concentrate Drying: Copper, iron and zinc concentrate dried before smelting — lower transport cost and higher smelter value.
Tailings Handling: Dried tailings for safe storage, backfill or reuse as construction material.
Mineral Raw Materials: Bauxite, manganese ore and quartz pre-dried for refining and processing.
Briquetting Feed: Dry fine ore prepared for briquetting and pelletizing lines.
Complete ore drying line: concentrate thickener → filter press → vibrating feeder → three-cylinder dryer → multi-cyclone & bag filter → product silo — engineered for continuous, single-operator-per-shift production.

Working Process for Ore Drying
1. Feeding: Filtered concentrate or crushed ore is fed evenly into the three-layer nested cylinders via belt or vibrating feeder at a stable, adjustable rate.
2. Turning & Dispersing: Wear-resistant lifting plates lift and turn the ore into a uniform material curtain — every particle dried evenly, plate wear minimized.
3. Heat Exchange: Hot air at 700-750°C passes through the ore three times inside the short shell, maximizing moisture pickup per unit of fuel.
4. Moisture Evaporation: Ore travels from the inner cylinder to the outer one; final moisture drops to the level your process needs — 3-8% for concentrate, lower for special products.
5. Discharge & Dedusting: Dry ore discharges to the product silo; fine dust is captured by the multi-cyclone and bag filter and returned to the product — clean emission, zero fines lost.

FAQ
1. How is the dryer protected against ore wear?
A thickened cylinder shell, wear-resistant lifting plates and a replaceable inner lining are standard, giving long service life in high-hardness ore duty.
2. What ore sizes and moisture can it process?
Granular ore and concentrate up to 30 mm with 10-20% moisture are standard; the uniform material curtain dries every particle evenly.
3. How is dust controlled during concentrate drying?
A multi-cyclone plus bag filter captures fine dust and returns it to the product — clean stack emission and zero loss of valuable fines.
4. What final moisture can be achieved?
