  • A Jig Machine is a gravity concentrator that separates minerals based on their specific gravity differences. It uses the pulsation of water (or air) to stratify particles in a bed, allowing heavier minerals (like gold or cassiterite) to settle at the bottom while lighter gangue materials are washed away. Unlike other separation methods, jigging is particularly effective for particles in the medium size range (typically 2-20mm), making it an essential piece of equipment for pre-concentration or final recovery stages.
