    We use a rubber lined trommel scrubber. The drum keeps rotating with water, so the clay lumps hit each other and break apart and release the free gold. For very sticky ore we add high pressure water guns on the feed hopper for pre washing, and a high frequency vibration screen after the scrubber for a second wash. Water consumption is about 3 cubic meter per ton of raw ore, which keeps the washing effect stable.

    A grizzly bar is fitted on the hopper or on the vibrating feeder. The gap is normally 50mm to 100mm and can be customized to your ore. Oversize stones are separated at the very first step and carried to the waste pile by belt conveyor, so only the correct feeding size enters the trommel scrubber. This protects the drum, keeps the capacity stable and avoids blocking of the screen part.

    The gravity recovery rate is normally 85 to 90 percent, and clients in Africa report over 90 percent on well washed ore. 200 TPH project the design reached about 92 percent for coarse gold and 88 percent for fine gold. The final result always depends on your real ore condition, clay content, gold liberation size and correct cleaning cycle of the sluice carpet.

    They cover different gold sizes. Coarse gold and nuggets from 6mm to 20mm are caught directly by coarse sluice boxes. Fine gold below 6mm, including flour gold, is caught by the centrifugal concentrator. The tailing of the concentrator then flows to more sluice boxes so nothing is lost, and the concentrate goes to a shaking table for upgrading. This combination gives the highest total recovery.

    A trommel scrubber is for raw ore with much sticky clay. Its long drum with rubber lining scrubs the clay off first and then screens the material. A trommel screen is for normal sand and soil with little clay, it only washes and sieves. If your ore is near a river and fairly clean, a trommel screen is enough and cheaper. We confirm the choice after checking your ore photos and clay percentage.

    Water consumption is about 2 to 3 cubic meter per ton of raw ore. A 20 TPH to 50 TPH plant needs about 50 to 100 cubic meter per hour, and a 250 TPH plant needs about 750 cubic meter per hour. For power, add the total motor power of all machines and multiply by 1.35 to size the diesel generator. An optional dewatering section can recycle at least 60 percent of the process water.

    Yes. The trommel scrubber, centrifugal concentrator and shaking table can be built on a wheeled chassis, so a small truck can tow them when the mining face moves. Sluice boxes stay stationary and are easy to reset.
