The drum malting system is state-of-the-art and is specifically designed for the craft brewing/distilling industries. It will help you to be able to produce a highly consistent products. It will allow you co collaborate with brewers/distillers and store “recipes” specific to their requirements. The kiln has the ability to reach temperatures ( 266℉ or 130℃ ) higher than most so that you can produce special malt without needing to perform an extra process. It allows for full clean out weekly enabling you to change your batch characteristics quickly and to maximize the diversity of your products. You can only need to add the quantity of drums if you want to expand your capacity so it will help you save cost. Therefore, the drum malting system will be ideal equipment for making craft malt for you.

3. Process Description
1) Barley into the hopper, raised by the conveyor to self-balancing vibrating screen (equipped with pulse dust collector dust). The screened barley mixing with water are transferred to the steeping tank by a non-blocking pump. It will enter into the steeping process.
2) Steeping tank made of SUS 304 material, with air supply system, CO2 extraction system, water supply and drainage system. In accordance with the requirements of intermittent ventilation and water supply (dry steeping and wet steeping). The general steeping time is less than 48 hours. After the end of the steeping, the malt and water are transported to the Drum container through a non-blocking pump. The whole process is fully automatic control. It will enter into the germination process.
3) The germination-kilning Drum malting system is the main equipment of line, can complete the germination and kilning processes. When steeped barley went into the drum, it will be according to the process requirements to ventilate, supply oxygen and cool. The germination stage ends until the index meets the process requirements. When it enters into the kilning section, there is a hot air furnace to meet the needs of different temperatures. After reaching the desired process requirements, the kilning ends. The whole process is fully automatic control. It will enter into the discharging-deculmer-bagging process.
4) The malt will be discharged through an automatic discharge device, and then enters into the root removal process, and then enters into the temporary storage tank, and finally enters into bagging process. The bagged malt can be sent to the craft breweries or craft distilleries.

The total barley in one year will be used: 2 tons* 55 batches(330/6)=110tons.
The total finished malt will be produced: 2 tons*0.8 (malt rate) * 55 batches(330/6)=88tons.
