Iron Ores Processing Line
Iron ore is one of the most abundant and widely used metallic ores in the world. Common beneficiation methods include magnetic separation, gravity separation, and flotation. For coarse-grained, weakly magnetic iron ores such as pyrite, hematite, limonite, or ores with light gangue minerals, gravity separation equipment like jig machines and shaking tables are recommended. This benefication method is chemical-free, low-energy, environmentally friendly, and can also be applied to recover iron minerals from magnetic separation tailings.
Iron Ores Gravity Separation Flow
The gravity separation process for iron ore typically involves crushing, screening, jig separation, optional regrinding, and dewatering. This enables efficient recovery of both coarse and fine iron concentrates, improving beneficiation efficiency and overall economic returns. Simplified Flow: Raw ore → Crushing → Screening → Jig Separation → Grinding (optional) → Dewatering
Processing Steps
01. Feeding & Crushing The raw ore is evenly fed into the crusher through the feeding machine. The jaw crusher is used to crush the raw ore for screening. 02. Screening: A vibrating screen classifies the material into coarse and fine fractions. 03. Gravity Separation The classified ores is fed into appropriate jig machines. Under pulsating water flow, iron minerals and gangue are stratified by density, producing separate concentrates and tailings. 04. Grinding (Optional) Coarse tailings can be further ground in a rod mill to recover additional fine iron. 05. Dewatering (Optional) Both concentrates and tailings are dewatered via dewatering screens for dry discharge, and recovery the wast water.
