Product details
Our premium Hammer Union Seals are engineered to provide reliable, leak-proof connections in the most challenging oil and gas environments. These essential sealing components are widely utilized in high-pressure flowlines, including hydraulic fracturing (fracking), well cementing, acidizing, and flowback operations. Designed to withstand the extreme rigors of both onshore and offshore drilling, our seals perform optimally in manifolds, pump systems, and high-vibration piping assemblies. Whether used in standard service or high-pressure Figure 1502, 1002, or 602 unions, these seals ensure operational integrity and safety during critical fluid transfer processes.
The core functionality of our Hammer Union Lip Seals lies in their precision-molded geometry, which allows the seal to expand under pressure for a tighter fit against the union wall. This self-energizing design is crucial for preventing leaks in systems subject to high flow velocities and mechanical stress. To enhance durability in ultra-high-pressure scenarios, reaching up to 15,000 PSI, our seals often feature integrated Brass or Stainless Steel backup rings. This reinforcement prevents rubber extrusion and deformation, significantly extending the service life of the gasket and reducing costly maintenance downtime in the field.
Selecting the right material is vital for chemical compatibility and longevity in the oilfield. We offer Hammer Union Seals in a range of high-grade elastomers to meet specific site requirements. Nitrile (NBR) is the preferred choice for general oil and water service, offering excellent abrasion resistance. For high-temperature environments or exposure to aggressive chemicals, our Viton (FKM) seals provide superior thermal stability. For the most demanding "Sour Gas" (H2S) applications, we provide HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) seals, which are specifically formulated to resist chemical degradation and explosive decompression.
