  • Gold CIL Plant-Process Overview
  • Following crushing and grinding, the pulp is fed into eight high-efficiency cyanide leaching tanks arranged in series. Cyanide leaching primarily occurs in the first two tanks, while countercurrent adsorption takes place in the remaining six leaching tanks. Compared to traditional CIP and other gold extraction methods, the CIL process significantly reduces cyanidation time and minimizes capital tied up during the gold retention phase.
  • During the activated carbon addition stage, specially selected coconut shell-based activated carbon (featuring micro-pores, high activity, wear resistance, and regenerability) is introduced into the pulp. This carbon effectively dissolves and adsorbs gold and silver ions, forming gold-loaded carbon.
  • Carbon separation screens and airlifts are the key equipment enabling the countercurrent movement of pulp and carbon. Advanced carbon separation screens and carbon lift pumps help reduce carbon abrasion during the process, thereby lowering costs and simplifying maintenance and operation.
  • The desorption and electrolysis system performs high-temperature desorption of gold from the loaded carbon using a mixed solution of sodium cyanide and sodium hydroxide. After removing wood chips and other impurities via a washing machine, gold is desorbed using a high-temperature and high-pressure desorption method, achieving 99% gold dissolution within 2-6 hours.
