COD (CORRUGATED OPTIC DUCT) is a multi-hole, one-piece conduit manufactured in a single process using advanced technology. Both the inner & outer tubes are made of HDPE(high-density polyethylene), offering high elasticity. Despite the presence of numerous inner tubes within the outer tube, it can still be wound securely around a conduit frame.Because the material is non-conductive and has high insulation properties, it is an ideal cable conduit.
Furthermore, its thermal expansion and contraction are significantly lower than traditional conduit systems. Since the inner and outer tubes are made of the same raw materials, maintaining a consistent ratio, COD can be bent freely, reaching angles of 90 degrees or even more with force, without requiring any special tools for bending or straightening. It can easily bypass obstacles on the construction site. Most importantly, COD can accommodate optical cables with a diameter up to 75% of the inner tube's diameter, while traditional conduits can only accommodate a maximum of 50%.
Product Characteristics
Multi-channel corrugated pipes have a special spiral shape, which enhances the pressure resistance of traditional PE straight-wall pipes. Its pressure resistance is 8-10 times that of traditional pipes, improving effectiveness and elasticity. In particular, it can provide good safety assurance in the event of earthquakes, collapses and other situations.
COD pipe is resistant to chemicals, highly durable, and extremely resistant to acids and alkalis. It also exhibits superior water resistance, making it suitable for use in seawater and wetlands where it can withstand corrosion. It is a semi-permanent conduit. Applications include fiber optic cable and electrical cable protection conduits.
