  • 1) Twin-Screw Extruder a. Design: Parallel co-rotating screws (diameters typically 12-25mm) with a modular "building block" barrel for customized shear profiles. b. Output: Lab-scale throughput from 1-15 kg/h.
  • 2) Calender Unit
  • a. Roll Stack: 3-roll or 2-roll vertical/horizontal polished chrome rollers for precise thickness control.
  • b. Temperature Control: Independent water or oil heating/cooling for each roller to manage polymer solidification and surface finish.
  • c. Gap Adjustment: High-precision manual or motorized nip adjustment for uniform sheet gauge.

  • 2. Working Principle

  • 3) Calendering: The hot ribbon enters the nip between calender rolls. These rolls simultaneously set the final thickness, provide a smooth surface finish, and cool the material to a solid state.
