A PE (Polyethylene) / TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) / EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer) single-screw extruder is a high-performance machine specialized for processing polyolefin materials into pipes, sheets, and membranes. These extruders are characterized by high torque, high efficiency, and precise thermal control.
Technical Description
1. The machinery features a high-efficiency BM (Barrier) type screw with a high L/D ratio (33:1 to 38:1) to ensure uniform melting and prevent un-melts.
2. A critical component is the grooved feed barrel with independent water cooling, which significantly increases conveying capacity for materials like HDPE and TPO.
3.Thermal management is handled by 5 - 7 heating zones using cast aluminum heaters, supported by high-power air-cooling fans for precise temperature stability.
Key Specifications & Applications
1. Output Capacity: Ranges from 150 kg/h (65mm screw) up to 1,500 kg/h (150mm screw) depending on the model and material. Small lab extruder for experiment is also available.
2. Applications: Primarily used for producing HDPE EVA TPO roofing membranes, automotive interior trims, and high-durability geomembranes.
3. Control Systems: Modern units are typically equipped with Siemens PLC systems and high-torque AC variable frequency drives for energy-efficient operation.
