Thermal Shock Resistant Magnesium Gunning Mix Refractory Spraying Mix For Steel Plant Furnace
Magnesium gunning material is a non-burning refractory material with magnesium oxide (MgO) as the main chemical component. It is mainly used for rapid repair and repair of local damage to high-temperature industrial furnace linings (especially steelmaking furnaces) to extend the service life of the furnace lining.
Magnesia gunning mixes QB series are made from magnesia or magnesia together with magnesia-dolomite clinker. With the addition of compound binder, they are produced as per the optimized grain sizing. The products have the properties of high adhesive strength and good resistance to erosion and abrasion. QB-1 is mainly used for the maintenance of converter trunnion areas, QB-3 mainly for slag line and hot spots of UHP EAF and QB-5/QB-6 mainly for the snorkels of RH degasser. Application scenarios of magnesium gunning materials
*Converter: The large spray gun repairs the charging side, trunnion area, around the tap hole and the slag line position.
*Electric arc furnace (EAF): Repair of furnace wall hot spot area, slag line area, furnace bottom and tap hole.
*Ladle & Tundish: Repair of slag line layer and partially damaged refractory brick surface.
*Heating furnace and iron mixing furnace: Reinforced by lining bricks that are washed away and peeled off by molten slag and molten metal.
